International Women’s Day is coming up! That´s why we are joining our partners of the Climate Block in taking the streets for gender just climate action.

International Women´s Day is the day we celebrate the feminist movement and take the street to demand gender equality and gender justice. This year we want to highlight the importance of feminist solutions for the climate crisis.

Climate change, pollution and environmental degradation are not gender neutral. Women, particularly in the global south, are not only more seriously affected by pollution, degradation and climate change, they are also underrepresented in decision-making processes regarding climate action. Joined by various partners, including Friends of the Earth, Actionaid, #FossilFreeFeminists and #Queers4Climate, we will take the streets to call for change.
