MARShojmë, S’festojmë!

This year on the 8th of March, for International Women’s Day, we march, we do not celebrate. We march because we have nothing to celebrate. We stand united and demand gender and social justice in Kosovo while resisting and fighting the patriarchal system down to its dismantlement which oppresses and discriminates us every day.

On Sunday at 12:00 o’clock we will gather at Zahir Pajaziti Square to march for social justice and gender equality, for a fair separation of the private and public sphere, for a dignified life without sexism, gender-based oppression, social and economic injustice. By Marching we deny and oppose all forms of injustice used against women.

The march precedes the women’s collective strike, with or without employment contracts. On Sunday, we begin the strike in order to oppose discrimination against women. We begin the strike and refuse doing any work, before noon or after, paid or unpaid. We refuse to work on Sundays, since this day is never a day of rest for women.

On the 8th of March We Unite, March, Resist and oppose this patriarchal system which is oppressive, unjust, and degrading for the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
