‘If Women Stop, the World Stops ‘ Concert

Fiji Women's Rights Movement
When 6 Mar, 2020
Time 10:00 am
Ends 6 Mar, 2020
Where Sukuna Park, Suva

The “If women stop, the world stops” concert will feature musicians, artists, artivists
and advocates amplifying the call for action through their music. For generations,
music and art has been the medium for story telling, particularly in the Pacific
Islands. With the significant inequalities, discrimination and violence that exist
against women and girls, there is a need to express the struggles, challenges,
concerns and urgency in a way that was innovative, engaging and inclusive to
members of the public. FWRM decided to provide a creative space for expression
that would amplify women’s human rights issues of concern, the prevalence of
violence against women and girls, the lack of access to essential services, over 200
species going extinct every day, climate change, the ongoing threats to democracy
and human rights.
